I just wanted to share that Dee's tortillas now in Sprout's stores are fantastic.  I have tried sprouted and a variety of others that are consistent with Plan D guidelines but none have been tasty or had the right texture.  Dee's are the exception.  We have had burritos twice and now I am using one as a wrap for tuna salad.  Thanks Dee.

Hi Debbie,

Thank you so much for the great compliment and feed back on the tortillas.  I am so glad you are enjoying them!  The reason why I created this particular product, was for the exact reasons you mentioned--I tried sprouted and a variety of others that are consistend with Plan-D but none have been tasty OR they have either canola oil, soybean oil or undesirable preservatives in them.

Again, thank you so much for your support.  Your words affirm my cause!!!

Best of Health,
Dee

Just wanted to make a quick post to say that I'm also enjoying the new tortillas. Great stuff - the best I've tried. Still enjoy the muffins, too. Any more food items planned?

Thanks for the great feedback, I'm so glad everyone is enjoying the tortillas.  I am too!  Enjoying basking in the light of finally getting a new product out there.  Give us some time, it takes a while to bring a new product to market.  Thanks for asking, and thanks for your support.

We live in Cottonwood.  Can these tortillas be ordered by mail or online?  I've been searching for stone ground corn tortillas...I can find the sprouted kind here in town but nothing that says stone ground.

Hi Sally,

I know you have been corresponding with Michael on another thread in the message board, but I too wanted to reply and hopefully also clarify something about the tortillas.

The Plan-D tortillas that are sold commercially are whole wheat tortillas.  They are not corn tortillas.

In the Plan-D book, I make many types of food recommendations, such as stone ground corn tortillas.  If you cannot find stone ground, then your next best bet would be a corn tortilla that has only corn, water, lime and salt.  What you are looking to avoid in corn tortillas are the additives and preservatives that are typically added such as Cellulose Gum, Propionic Acid, Benzoic Acid, Phosphoric Acid, Dextrose, Guar Gum, and Amylase.

Best of Health,
Dee
