Wow I've been doing well for over the two week period but I went out to eat and had fried corn tortillas with chicken inside. I don't know if it was the oil they use or the tortilla but I was back to feeling the pain I get near my stomach and colon. I felt terrible then valentines day I ate chocolate

Trying not to. Beat myself up but it was like a downward spiral.

Don't beat yourself up! Just get on track with your next meal or next bite of food =) No real harm done if you do that.

It's all about progress, not perfection.  You just pick yourself up from where you are and continue on with healthy food choices.

"have been living processed free for twenty years, and I will tell you that in no way do I claim perfection. Instead, I claim consistency and commitment, and that has made all the difference. Remember, I was once a morbidly obese junkfood junkie who couldn’t see past the next mouthful of M&M’s. The only difference between you and me is that I have more experience with processed-free eating. But my experience was hard won. You have an advantage I didn’t twenty years ago:
the proven science, advice, wisdom, recipes, and practical tools offered in my books and the support you are finding on this forum."

Please keep your spirits up and carry on!

Best,
Dee

Thanks Dee. This is Trish I saw you at sprouts Thursday and bought your book.

Process not perfection like many things in life! I am thrilled to start each day with warm lemon water and be caffeine coffee free and that is huge for me

I have not struggled with weight until menopause so it's frustrating since before I could cut back and lose weight. It's not all about weight loss to be sure, although I'd like to shed the weight I've put on with menopause.

However I've noticed the stomach colon issues have lessened since eating processed free and trying to become more alkaline.

I like that your recipes taste good and offer variety - thanks for your encouragement

Trish.
