Perfect in Every Way Guacamole

There is no other snack food that can boast a nutrition profile as impressive as guacamole.

Every one of its ingredients are alkalizing and liver-izing, offering stunning health benefits in each bite. From stabilizing blood sugar levels, boosting the immune system, and lowering cholesterol and blood pressure to removing heavy metals from the body and promoting weight loss, guacamole is a food to include regularly in your meals and snacks.

Makes 6 servings

3 avocados
2 fresh garlic cloves, minced, or 4 roasted garlic cloves
1⁄4 cup minced red onion
Juice of 1 lime
1⁄4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
1⁄2 jalapeño pepper, seeded and finely minced (optional)
Pinch of sea salt, or more to taste
1 Roma tomato, seeded and diced

Cut the avocados in half and remove the pits. Spoon the flesh of the avocados into a mixing bowl and mash with a fork, leaving some chunks. Add the garlic, onion, lime juice, cilantro, jalapeño, if using, and salt. Mix well with a rubber spatula. Fold in the diced tomato and taste. Adjust salt, if needed. Enjoy immediately.
