Hi Abby,
Thanks for your post! Personally the only change in my skin that I experienced on Plan-D is that my skin is very beautiful and glowing due to the healthy oils and foods that I eat. As Plan-D is a cleansing way of eating, your body will begin to eliminate toxins. One of the ways it does so is through the skin, so the acne may just be a part of your healing and elimination. It won't last forever. You can use a diluted apple cider vinegar solution directly on the acne to help clear it up. For more info and directions on how to do that,

Of course you love sugar, it's an addictive substance, and we need to be careful of too much consumption, even from natural sources. In my book, I do mention that for many thousands of years humans ate naturally occurring sugar in fruits only when the fruit was in season, maybe one or two months out of the year. Too much sugar in any form is not healthy and disrupts the body chemistry. Although natural sugars are obviously much healthier than refined sugar, we still need to keep them moderated. That is why the plan recommends only three portions per day, and for some people, especially those with blood sugar problems, it should be limited to one or two.
Juicing vegetables with one apple is probably OK to do daily, but juicing just fruits is not recommended as a daily or regular practice. The fibers in fruits are very important for slowing down the absorption of the sugars into the bloodstream. You really need to keep your fruit and other natural sweetener portions within healthy amounts.
Artisan brand is a great brand for coconut oil and their other products, and coconut oil is THE SAFEST AND BEST oil to use for cooking. It can take heat up to 350 degrees on the stove top and 400 degrees in the oven. This information is in the Plan-D book.
You can combine the lemon water and vinegar water into one morning drink if desired. The reason the lemon juice and vinegar need to be added to water is to dilute the acid so that when you drink it, it will not affect the enamel on your teeth. Many people, including Patricia Bragg herself, have been drinking the vinegar in water for more than 20 or 30 years with no effect on the teeth, and only magnificent health benefits for the whole body. One 8-ounce glass of lemon water and one 8-ounce glass of vinegar water is not a lot of water to drink in the morning, but if you want to combine it into one 8-ounce glass, that is fine. I personally drink 32 ounces of water each morning.
In the beginning of my weight loss, I gave up eating foods made from flour, including bread and pasta, cereals, and of course all the bad sugar/flour products. I did eat Shredded Wheat cereal, Grape Nuts, and Puffed Kashi, which are cereals that are made from the whole grains, but not flour. Ezekiel bread was not an option for me back then, but it is today. I still do not eat pasta, even whole grain, except on rare occasions.
Nutritional yeast is a very beneficial food.
Just so you know, there is a great search feature on this forum. Often times your questions have already been asked and I have already answered them. Just click on the tab at the top of this page that says "SEARCH" and you can type in a keyword. All of the posts that contain that word will come up, so you can find lots of great information that way.
Best of Health,
