Tanner's Alkalizing Asparagus Soup
(Can substitute any veggie for the asparagus--broccoli, beets  butternut squash, etc!)

Ingredients:

1 lb asparagus
1/2 small onion or shallot
2-3 cloves garlic
1/4 cup raw almonds,raw pine nuts or raw walnuts, soaked overnight
1-2 teaspoons Bragg's Sprinkle
Sea salt and fresh cracked pepper to taste
2-3 sprigs parsley
 

Method:
Cut asparagus and onion into bite sized chunks.  Lightly steam together along with garlic cloves in about 1-2 inches of filtered water. Once soft, blend together in a high powered blender with soaked almonds and enough water to cover the ingredients ( be sure to use the asparagus water that you steamed ingredients with!) Add more water if necessary to get a creamy soup consistency. Add sea salt, cracked pepper and Bragg's sprinkle and blend again. Garnish with parsley sprigs. Serve with Mary's Gone Crackers, veggies or a fresh side salad! Enjoy! 

Note:
*For a nice crunchy topping try adding raw hemp hearts as a garnish =)

*This soup can be eaten warm or cold
